Manage project cost estimation and tender submissions
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, plant, and overheads
* Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure budgets are adhered t0
* Manage subcontractors, including negotiating rates, agreeing on variations, and assessing application.
* Prepare, negotiate, and analyze tender submissions, and manage the assessment of proposals from sub-contractors.
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects and provide regular reports on the status of projects.
* Handle contract administration, including valuations, variations, payments, and claims.
* Provide monthly cost reports and analysis for contract performance.
* Identify opportunities for value engineering and innovation, enabling projects to remain cost-effective without compromising quality or exceeding client budgets.
Strategic bid Management.
* Your knowledge and expertise will be pivotal to winning bids and driving the growth of 2G
* Manage feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
Close collaboration & relationship building
* Develop & nurture client relationship. This is absolutely crucial to the success of 2G
* Collaborate closely with our design team to ensure accurate pricing for all D & B projects.
* Work with the project team to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Bachelors degree in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to scrutinise and problem solve
* Proficiency in reading drawings and design specifications.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
