Job Summary We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our company in Malta. Main Responsibilities Financial Management: Oversee and manage all financial actions of the Group Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements Business Performance Establish clear accounting policies in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and national reporting requirements Develop processes and guidelines for the adoption of accounting policies and practices Prepare business plans aligned with the Board of Directors' guidelines and strategy, collaborating closely with the CEO Compile budgets and conduct forecasting exercises Conduct cost/benefit analyses of investment options Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the Management and Board of Directors Prepare periodic key performance indicators (KPIs). Compile all statutory returns and reports, including tax returns, to the relevant authorities. Coordinate the compilation of Company's audited Financial Statements. Manage the external audit process and act as the main liaison with auditors Monitor Own Funds computation of the Group Advising on long-term business and financial planning Ensure internal accounting systems, processes, and controls adhere to accepted accounting principles and effectively support the business Manage Company's cash liquidity with correspondent banks/financial institutions and oversee the Treasury function. Other Duties Collaborate with the CEO on pay-related matters, including salary revisions and bonuses. Oversee other functions of the Finance Department, including monthly payroll calculations and monitoring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Develop an internal control framework for the department and regularly test control mechanisms. Work directly with team members to achieve operational excellence through continuous development and mentoring. Pursue personal development to enhance effectiveness.
