The Role
Our QA Contractor will play a crucial role, for c.3 months with possible extension, in ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise solution that enable real-time monitoring and control of IoT devices for leading global brands. As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, our QA Contractor will ensure that our systems deliver seamless scalability, exceptional performance, and a first-class user experience in a fast-paced industry.
As technology rapidly evolves, so does our approach to quality assurance. Our QA Contractor will be tasked with ensuring that our customers can make real-time, data-driven decisions with confidence, using accurate and reliable IoT device insights. Additionally, we integrate data science and AI/ML cloud services to derive deep business insights from historical data, making quality assurance critical in delivering these advanced solutions.

Responsibilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of IoT platform solutions.
* Provide technical insights in the QA team, collaborating with developers and key contributors to test and validate the architecture of a global multi-cloud/multi-region IoT platform.
* Influence testing practices and contribute to continuous process improvements, driving the adoption of QA best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that changes are properly tested and validated before being applied to the platform.
* Ensure that SDLC processes are followed and optimized to deliver highly reliable software solutions within a 24/7 DevSecOps cloud environment.
* Validate non-functional enterprise requirements, such as performance, security, and compliance, while supporting decision-making in partnership with technical leadership.
* Providing technical direction to junior QAs when problem-solving complex issues.
* Conduct research and proof-of-concept (POC) testing on new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
* Participate in the CICD development pipelines, ensuring automated testing is integrated into modern test and delivery techniques.
Essential Criteria
* Significant experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on ensuring high standards of reliability and performance.
* Demonstrable experience with core testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and QA tools.
* Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, MSc or higher is preferred.
* Proven ability to design and execute detailed, effective test plans and cases.
* Experience in writing clean, maintainable, and reusable test automation scripts.
Desirable Criteria
* ISTQB or similar.
* Experience testing multi-threaded applications and familiarity with Java libraries such as Spring.
* Knowledge of IoT platforms, such as AWS IoT Core, IoT Hub, or PTC IoT.
* Experience with CICD and cloud operations tools, including Jenkins, Argo, and Kubernetes.
* Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance testing processes and tools.
* Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, or other Atlassian products.
