Hours: PART TIME RECEPTIONIST WANTED. Additional holiday cover is always available for overtime hours and the right applicant will have the flexibility to cover these hours.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within our busy reception team. Candidates must be flexible as the posts can have an early start and late finish.
Communication and computer skills are essential. Previous experience with EMIS Web or in a GP practice is desirable but not essential as full training will be offered to the right candidates. Candidates will be friendly and be able to work under pressure.
Main duties of the job
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice.
* Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments.
* Using your own judgment and communication skills ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner.
* Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover and ensure procedures are completed.
* Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
* Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection by the patient within 48 hours.
* Prepare lists and notes for all surgeries and clinics held, ensuring completion of all associated paperwork.
* Advise patients of relevant charges for private (non General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same.
* Enter patient information on to the computer as required.
* Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.

Grosvenor is an innovative practice across 2 sites caring for 15,000 patients.
The Practice has 6 GP partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 1 Paramedic trainee ACP, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Pharmacy Technicians, a well-established Practice Nurse team including 3 GPAs, and 5 General Practice Nurses and a well-being team. We also work closely with the community teams and have first contact practitioners working within the practice. Our Admin team consists of Medical receptionists, Medical Secretaries, Clinic Coordinator, Care Coordinators and patient data administrators as well as Management leads for all departments.
