Our client is an award winning, family run meat wholesaler in the North Yorkshire region. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Butcher on a temporary to permanent basis. What will my role look like? As a Butcher you will be responsible for cutting, grinding and preparing Pork, Beef and Poultry whilst adhering to all Health and Safety requirements. Your duties will include: • Using your butchery skills to prepare Pork, Beef and Poultry to customer requirements. • Provide high quality products in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment. • Cut or saw carcasses into manageable portions and prepare product to correct weight/cut for customer needs. • Cut and prepare meat for curing or other processing. To be considered for the role of Food Production Operative, you must have: • Excellent punctuality. • 2 years minimum Butchery experience. • Sufficient knowledge and experience within the industry. • Must be able to process dicing to a high standard and according to customer requirements. • Professional attitude to work and flexible on working times. • Must be able to carry out the full de boning process. • Able to maintain strong attention to detail whilst continuously quality checking products.
