Join a highly skilled Emergency Response team that work out of hours providing a robust response to people in crisis. ERWs provide a service to Children, young people, vulnerable adults and their families ensuring the right support at the right time. About the team ERT Work directly with children, young people and families to support and supervise in an emergency in a variety of settings. Assist in delivering an emergency response as sessional worker on a rota, out of hours. This will include evenings, weekends and may include overnight. Work in partnership with partner agencies to ensure service delivery is effective in safeguarding children and young people. Help achieve outcomes for children and young people and their families in line with the Wirral plan 2025 Working for brighter futures. As part of our team, you will: Provide a high-quality response to emergency referrals out of normal working hours. Work a rotational shift pattern. Provide appropriate support and interventions to vulnerable adults, children and families to address safeguarding concerns. You will work alongside ERWs and with the Emergency Duty team. Personal Attributes This role will suit those who wish to utilise their existing skills and build their experience whilst supporting children and families in a wide range of crisis/emergency situations. You will be supporting and safeguarding children and families providing crisis intervention across Wirral to prevent further escalation. You may work alongside external partners and EDT, You will be part of a team with vast experience who will support you in your role and a management team who offer leadership, understanding and commitment to help you develop. Hours of Work This role is a sessional role and offers the ability for you to work flexibly. ERWs work out of hours. The ERW coordinator will allocate work to ERWs who are available to meet the demands of the service. Some ERWs work through the night but this is not required of all the ERWs, evening and weekend sessional work is available and allocated across the team.
