Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:15, Friday 08:00-13:00

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide the full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to handover and final account preparation.
* Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions, reporting to the Line Manager all issues which impact on the commercial delivery of any project.
* Estimating Assistance on tenders: Accurately assist in the estimating of the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for new projects and assist in preparing detailed bids including preparing estimates/cost plans/tender documents and tender reports.
* Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with projects and manage accordingly.
* Reporting: Prepare data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management/clients.
* Monthly Cost Value reporting including Earned Value, costs to complete, overhead monitoring and control reports.
* Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Essential:
* 2-3 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction and/or engineering with preferred experience in structural steel.
* Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proficient in using industry-standard software for cost estimation and project management including BIM / CAD measure, Cost-X; Knowledge of Tekla or other BIM software would be an advantage.
* Knowledge and working use of various forms of Contract including but not limited to NEC; JCT; CECA.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Full driving license.
* Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance.
