Bookmark Education are working with a Primary School in the Moston area Of Manchester who are looking for a teaching assistant with a focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs. To succeed in this role you will be committed to helping young people reach their full potential and making school a safe and inclusive environment for them. The right candidate will be working with a 1:1 focus with a pupil who has complex SEMH needs, and is undergoing assessment for an Education Health Care Plan. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people with Social Emotional Mental Health needs including those who exhibit behaviours that challenge, in either in a professional, voluntary or personal capacity. The role is Monday to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 term time only, on an ongoing basis. This is to support the pupil, likely through to the end of the academic year. A hands-on approach with a resilient and nurturing personality, showing a true passion for supporting children, will always serve well You will provide care and encouragement to the pupil you are supporting; working closely with the class teacher and SENCO The ability to remove barriers to learning and provide pastoral support to children.
