A leading chemical manufacturer in the Cheshire/Merseyside area is seeking a Stores Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of stock, supporting engineering operations, and maintaining a well-organised stores environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage stock control, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
* Utilise SAP to track stock movements, maintain records, and generate reports.
* Operate Forklift Trucks (FLT) for goods handling and movement.
* Support the engineering team by ensuring timely availability of required parts and materials.
* Coordinate deliveries, inspect incoming goods, and maintain compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Work closely with procurement, production, and maintenance teams to streamline operations.
Requirements:
* Experience using SAP for stock control and inventory management.
* Valid FLT licence with hands-on experience.
* Engineering stores experience within a manufacturing or chemical industry environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Understanding of health & safety procedures within a highly regulated industry.
