The team provides HR support andsolutions to the entire firm, with a direct link into thepartnership through the Chief People Officer. The Role
You will play a key role in the HRteam primarily supporting the Trainee lifecycle, alongside wider HRinitiatives and workstreams.
You will act as the main point ofcontact for all trainee-related HR issues, providing exceptionallevels of service and advice to employees, managers, and partners.This role requires a strong understanding of the UK legal sector andHR practices, as well as outstanding interpersonal, organisational,and administrative skills.
This is a significant role thatcontributes to the firm's overall strategic objectives, talentmanagement, and trainee engagement. As a Trainee DevelopmentAdvisor, your contribution will be crucial in ensuring our traineesgain the most beneficial skills and knowledge, which will not onlyalign them with our firm's goals but also provide them with apositive, beneficial start to their legal career.
Key Responsibilities
General Advisory
Provide pastoral and HR support for Trainees throughout their timeat the firm, from application through to qualification.
Lead and support the Trainee seating plan rotations, ensuring allnecessary factors are taken into consideration.
Take ownership of mid and end of seat reviews, working with widerHR to collate feedback, create review packs, liaising with Traineepartners to facilitate the meetings and in some instances attend the meetings.
Support the firm and Trainees in relation to the SQE qualificationand advise on changes as and when necessary.
Contribute to business planning and strategic discussions byproviding commercial advice and support specifically in relation to Trainees.
Develop and sustain strong business relationships with clientgroups to become a trusted advisor, specifically the training principles.
Challenge, coach and support Partners and Managers in thedevelopment of their people management skills.
Work with the wider business to ensure initiatives and solutionsare fully supported ahead of implementation.
Pre-empt and manage performance management and employee relationsissues concerning apprentices sensitively and rigorously, as andwhen they may arise.
Work with the departments to ensure the structure of the businessis appropriate to meet the strategic aims of the various teams.
Work with the senior HR team to communicate and share expertisewith the wider team.
Talent and Performance Management
Support the annual performance and salary moderation process.
Coach client groups in the delivery of effective feedback andconstructive performance management discussions.
Identify training needs and liaise with L&D to identify anddeliver targeted and effective training.
Design and deliver training sessions as and when required.
Assist with Visa applications when required.
Other Responsibilities
Work with the senior HR team and the business on variouschange-management projects within the firm.
Work with the senior HR team to further develop the HR functionand ensure that it is meeting the strategic objectives of the firm.

Personal Specification - Experience, Knowledge & Skills
At least two/three years' experience in HR Gained in the legalsector or other professional services firm.
Experience with supporting on Trainee lifecycle would be advantageous.
Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPointand Excel.
Working knowledge of a candidate tracking system would be an advantage.
High degree of professionalism.
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to communicate effectively and confidently and adaptscommunications styles to different audiences.
Able to adapt to shifting priorities and adjust plans appropriately.
