As part of their ongoing growth, I am looking for a Technical Buyer to join the dynamic team and contribute to its continued success. Key Responsibilities of Technical Buyer: - Manage the procurement of raw materials and finished goods. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. - Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and production requirements. - Develop and maintain procurement strategies, ensuring optimal cost and quality balance while minimizing lead times. - Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any supply chain issues or material shortages promptly. - Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive pricing and a diverse supplier base. - Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements and long-term partnerships. - Continuously monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and ensure no disruption in production schedules. Key Experience & Qualifications of Technical Buyer: - 3 years of experience in technical buying, sourcing, or procurement, preferably within the engineering, manufacturing, or electronics sectors. - Demonstrated expertise in purchasing raw materials, components, and commodities related to electronics production. - Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and procurement processes. - Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to achieve optimal pricing and performance. - Ability to analyze technical specifications and translate them into effective purchasing decisions. - Familiarity with MRP Material Requirements Planning systems and other procurement software. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers. - A degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
