Instore Operations Director

As the Operations Director for Instore, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the operational excellence of our ASDA Cafes. You will manage multiple site-based clients and relationships in each location in a commercial manner, ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to. Accountable for business performance, ensuring operational and financial KPIs are met while supporting the delivery of the People Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Regional Managers to deliver key financial targets and overall compliance.
* Commercial understanding of the Asda Brand, maximising sales opportunities while ensuring brand compliance to build trust in the partner relationship.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, reviewing contract performance with each client, identifying improvements, and ensuring contract compliance to exceed client expectations.
* Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure Compass and brand standards are met while also ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability through effective resource allocation and financial planning.
* Manage all stakeholders and project plans during the planning and refresh/build of units from concept to completion, ensuring the client is kept informed and all key deliverables are met in a timely manner.
* Identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements leading on projects to optimize efficiency and service delivery by staying ahead of industry trends to implement innovative Retail solutions enhancing the overall retail experience of the customers while driving efficiencies.
* Provide operational insight alongside strategic marketing plans to grow sales and deliver customer satisfaction.
Essential skills
* A minimum of 5 years operational experience in senior leadership roles within Retail or hospitality.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience of managing complex and multiple client and stakeholder relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
* Knowledge of health and safety and regulatory compliance.
Desirable skills
* Developed and led an implementation of change programme to deliver operational benefits.
* Experience of managing a mobilisation plan.
