AI Safety Institute At the AI Safety Institute, were leading the UKs efforts to tackle one of the most important challenges of our time: making AI safe. Our mission is to equip governments with an empirical understanding of the safety of advanced AI systems. We evaluate AI systems to uncover and mitigate risks, develop global standards to manage these challenges, and conduct pioneering research into the impact of AI on society. Job description We are looking for talented communicator with a passion for digital and a keen eye for detail to join the AI Safety Institutes new and expanding communications team. In this role you will: Take the lead on creating and editing multi-channel content for AISIs website and social channels, working with our research and policy teams on engaging and accurate content for our blogs, news articles and social media content including developing graphics, video, and imagery. Be responsible for the day-to-day management of AISIs website, ensuring our content is relevant, accurate and engaging. Use digital tools to monitor and report the conversation on AI safety, identifying proactive communications opportunities. Be responsible for our planning tools, working with teams to keep them up to date. Person specification Key experience & skills required: Previous experience in a communication role (ideally in science, technology or AI). Experience managing CMS and social media channels. Strong writer and/or copy editor. Research, analysis and reporting skills. Demonstrable experience in project management. Desired criteria Some experience using tools to create visual content. Passionate about AI safety, or a tangential topic some understanding of AISIs research.
