We're on the lookout for an experienced SEN TA/Teacher who is ready to jump in full-time and make a lasting difference in the lives of our students with ASD. Read on to see if you've got the mix of heart, skill, and dedication we're looking for!
As our ideal candidate, you will:
1. Bring a patient and adaptable approach to supporting our wonderful students with ASD.
2. Have solid experience under your belt, preferably within a secondary school environment, working closely with young people on the spectrum.
3. Possess a creative toolbox of strategies to engage, motivate, and champion our students to reach their potential, both academically and socially.
4. Be a team player to the core, collaborating seamlessly with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a unified front in each student’s educational journey.
5. Hold a genuine belief that every student has unique strengths and talents, and it’s your job to help them shine.
What your day will typically look like:
1. Tailoring learning activities to suit the individual needs of students with ASD.
2. Providing one-to-one support or small group sessions to bolster understanding and skill mastery.
3. Navigating the often-tricky social and emotional landscapes with compassion and insight.
4. Crafting a supportive environment where communication barriers are acknowledged and overcome.
