Main purpose of Job:
The main part of the role is Coordinate a plan and allocate Cargo via a number of articulated trunk line into Depots across the UK Domestic network for final mile delivery. Being the Central Hub this is a time criticle role in ensuring Customer deliveries are achieved on time. Therefore high quality and attention to detail is required.
Key Tasks:
1. Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners and internal departments via e-mail/telephone.
2. Responsible for allocating and planning upto 15 trunks per night
3. Utilisation of pallet netwroks or parcel carriers for support “On Time” flow of Cargo
4. Leasiing with collagues around the UK to ensure a calloborative and consistent
5. Communicating with agreed hauliers ensuring company policy is adhered too
6. Pro-active appraoch to sourcing capacity for the timely movement of freight
7. Provision of PODs to meet customer requirements where necessar
8. Provide KPI and reports internally where required
9. Resolve Credit Management Queries where necessary
10. General Day to Day administrative duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
11. An understanding of regulations regarding the movement of hazardous goods is highly desirable.
12. High attention to detail and possess a good understanding of internal Customers and supply chain
13. Excellent Customer Service & communication skils
14. Be able to remain calm and focused under pressure
15. Provide KPI and reports internally where required
16. Previous experience and evidence of performing to a high level in similar role
