Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a talented team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Oxfordshire region. Due to growth and demand from our customers, we are looking to expand our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and related electrical equipment in and around Oxfordshire.
Training will be a mix of on-the-job learning, providing you with opportunities to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and sector-based certifications such as ECS and the NHSS Chapter 8.
Who you are:
You should have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, with some exposure to electrical work—whether through outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications, radio equipment, or related courses/diplomas.
Key Requirements:
* Motivation and willingness to learn on the job and through online learning
* Previous experience in electrical testing, maintenance, fixing, or installing, or holding an electrical qualification/diploma
* Ability to problem-solve and think creatively, working through fault-finding instructions
* Full UK Driving Licence and residence in Oxfordshire
* Willingness to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
