The project\: Work is moving rapidly into the mechanical, electrical and HVAC (MEH) install phase. The client team including Mace representatives will be required to provide leadership, direction and guidance to the contract delivery partners as part of an integrated team delivering standalone large multi-million pound scopes of works whilst ensuring full effective coordination at project level. Delivers high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery, accountable for compliance, governance and assurance. Responsible for building and retaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support delivery success. You’ll be responsible for: Works as part of the project MEP team, managing the construction of the MEP services, reporting to the project lead ensuring compliance with Mace standards. Accountable for the construction aspects of the MEP services and the management of the site environment, programme, health safety & wellbeing, quality & commissioning of the project. Liaises and coordinates with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders. Manages the programme review process with trade specialists, checking for productivity, key issues/blockers and trade to trade coordination, using digital technologies to ensure the project/package is on schedule. The ability to identify trends, key issues or critical path risks is fundamental. Manages the quality assurance process, ensuring that a high level of installation quality is provided and that all trade contractors and consultants follow the agreed process. Implements delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring the key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are achieved. Implements commissioning strategies in line with the Mace commissioning standards inclusive of IST approach, ATP’s and soft landings. Manages project close out to ensure all elements of completion are delivered to a high standard, such as commissioning, as built drawings and QA/snagging. Proactive identification of risk and the agreement of mitigation plans. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You’ll need to have: Proficient knowledge of a technical trade (i.e. building services engineering) including installation and testing methods, best practice and prefabrication to allow supervision, planning, and quality control of a packages or systems assigned to the individual. Basic knowledge of other technical trades, including basic installation techniques, prefabrication and best practice to ensure consideration, collaboration and co-ordination with other systems and packages. Basic knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies to ensure consideration, collaboration and co-ordination with build elements. Basic knowledge of commercial management to assist the commercial teams with commercial control of a packages, such as clean up notices, good received and contract charges between packages. Proficient knowledge of planning processes and management, with sufficient understanding of key construction release requirements, systems critical path, tasks/works scheduling and commissioning activities to allow for planning and control of the of a packages or systems during construction. Proficient knowledge of health, safety & welfare core elements such as working from height, electrical safety, fire safety, logistics and lifting, to provide awareness and ensure application in the safe management of supply chain packages. Proficient knowledge of quality assurance process' and & commissioning of single systems to allow full completion of their package or system of responsibility whilst assisting in the integration of systems. Basic knowledge of digital setting out and scanning technologies. Proven track record in delivering projects more than £5m MEP value. Experience in the relevant construction sector. Demonstrated track record of successful projects/contribution. Proficiency in building services or a specified engineering discipline. Drives high standards and ensures consistency in our approach. Accreditation with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, CIOB. Understands the business strategic goals and encourages their deployment. Strong presentation skills; presents clearly and confidently with their audience in mind. Strong analytical skills - numeric, statistical and written detail. Able to use influence to guide and get the best out of others. Formal engineering or construction training (HNC. HND, BTEC or equivalent).
