This is a seasonal role with the potential for longer term. Experience preferred however, training will be provided if you are not experienced for either roles. Double accommodation availablewhich will suit a couple due to the layout of the accommodation. This property is on a bus route, however a car would be advantageous. If you enjoy the outdoors and living and working in a coastal location, this could be for you. Our client, a Cafe, is opening for the season and is located on the coast with panoramic sea views. It is a very popular meeting place offering a classic range of seaside meals, including renowned fish and chips, stone baked pizzas, burgers, salads and a children’s menu along with fresh coffee, tea and cakes. The season will start mid-March through to the end of September. There may be the possibility for longer-term work after the busy season also. As a Couple you will work as part of a small team. The front of house role, is mainly front of house, however someone who is flexible, and does not mind stepping in to help out in the kitchen will be advantageous to cover breaks etc. Previous experience in hospitality or retail is advantageous, however training will be provided. You will be team players with a hands on approach providing a friendly and positive customer service to guests. Shift work is involved to include the busy week-ends on a rota basis. Front of House Team Member - sample of main duties include: Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints Organize and supervise shifts Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it Control and identify measures to cut staff costs Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices. Understands the kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment. Maintains a clean work environment, including floors and walls. Cleans extractor filters daily with help. Responsible for cooking and knowledge of the entire menu – Burgers, fish/chips, and pizzas. Cleans kitchen and equipment according to routine schedule. Complete the kitchen diary daily and record fish outtake, problems, and successes. Prep up for the day using the prep list and alert if there are problems on supply. Keep all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized. Temperature control recording managed daily of fridges and freezers. Help in all areas of the kitchen – sometimes may be needed to serve or wrap up food. Can work alone in kitchen when it is quiet and as part of a team. Ability to ask for help when needed. Smart uniform and sensible shoes. Hair always tied back, or hat worn. To keep all storage areas tidy, safe, and clean. Must complete training for food hygiene. Be able to lift, bend and reach. Requirements for the roles include: Flexible shifts covering lunch and dinner service, including weekends Smart appearance, excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service Hands on, engaging, warm and welcoming to guests Cover staffing breaks Live in available for a couple in a double room with a small kitchen/living room.
