Your role at Veezu: The Group Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of Veezu, overseeing a complex and dynamic group structure during a period of growth and transformation. Responsible for managing a large team of finance professionals, this role will ensure robust financial control, drive process efficiencies, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen the Group’s financial operations. With oversight of consolidated financial reporting, cashflow management, tax compliance, and key relationships with auditors and banks, the Group Financial Controller will also lead on projects such as automating financial processes, simplifying the corporate structure, integrating acquisitions, and implementing a new ERP system. Reporting into the CFO, this is an opportunity to lead in creating a more efficient and integrated financial framework that supports Veezu’s ambitious M&A and organic growth goals. Who are Veezu? We are a tech-driven on-demand mobility service that supports our hyper-local communities, helping them thrive and so much more What you’ll do: Lead a team of qualified, part-qualified, and administrative staff. Manage financial control for 14 trading and 21 non-trading companies. Produce monthly consolidated management accounts and Board reporting packs. Ensure high-quality monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare quarterly covenant calculations. Oversee cashflow management, including forecasting and reporting. Account for acquisitions and their integration into the Veezu Group. Manage relationships with external auditors. Produce statutory annual financial statements for all group companies. Ensure tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and employment taxes. Oversee Payroll and Accounts Payable functions. Manage banking relationships and account administration. Provide financial analysis and support for Group-wide projects. Maintain ISO27001 certification and ensure Information Security compliance. Projects include: Automation of financial processes and systems across the Group Implementation of a group-wide procurement system Simplification of group corporate structure to reduce the number of trading companies and the overall number of legal entities within the Group Ongoing integration of acquired companies Implementation of new ERP system What you’ll need: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with significant years post qualification experience Experience of managing large finance teams with multiple legal entities and complex consolidation Experience of implementing new accounting systems and tools Experience of working within an organisation that has made multiple acquisitions Strong technical accounting knowledge Strong interpersonal and people management skills Where you’ll be: This role will be based out of our Cardiff HQ.
