Warehouse Team Manager – Sheffield - £27,000 - £30,000
Chase & Holland are excited to be working with an innovative and exciting business, currently going through a strong period of growth and looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Team Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5 – 15 people, ensuring the efficient running of an agile warehouse team by supporting and leading to ensure goals and objectives are met.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Team Manager:
* Managing and organising daily picking requirements in line with Customer SLA’s and ensuring orders are fulfilled.
* Organising the off-loading, receipting, and storage of goods in line with the warehouse standard operational procedures.
* Understanding and being responsible for the safe unloading/loading of vehicles, including the entry and control of the movement and parking of trailers.
* Ensuring prestart checks are conducted and documented at the start of each shift and any defects are reported immediately.
* Maintaining all operational equipment to a high standard and reporting any defects immediately.
* Managing/overseeing the perpetual inventory checks schedule ensuring stock is counted.
* Organising the replenishment of stocks to maintain levels held at the pick face and accurately updating the stock system.
* Ensuring end of day manifests are completed.
* Reviewing documentation (SOP’s) and working practices with a view to improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
* Organising the removal of waste from the warehouse ensuring waste goes into the correct waste stream.
* Ensuring cross-team communication to raise issues, improve processes, and obtain or offer support.
* Appropriately cascading and communicating KPI and organisation information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communication.
* Communicating performance vs plan regularly and the role of escalating any issues that may mean the plan isn't reached that day.
* Ensuring compliance with rules, procedures, systems, etc.
* Ensuring that the quality of service within the team is maintained at the highest possible standards.
Hours: Monday – Friday 11am – 7:30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* A self-starter using your initiative to reach goals and solve problems.
* Analytical with great attention to detail.
* A can-do attitude with a proactive mindset.
