Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Leadership Position
Location: Varies (dependent on the client's requirements)
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Description:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned electrical maintenance professional to take on a leadership role within our clients' operations. As an EC&I Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians in executing electrical, control system, and instrumentation maintenance activities. Your primary objective will be to ensure high operational availability and compliance while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute maintenance activities in accordance with safe systems of work, prioritizing people, plant, and environment protection.
* Provide leadership and ensure personnel are trained and competent to operate safely.
* Maintain facility equipment using best industry practices, adhering to environmental, legal, and internal norms.
* Lead, develop, and motivate maintenance technicians to deliver exceptional services.
* Participate in recruitment, planning, and management of maintenance team personnel.
* Develop apprentices and succession plans within the team.
* Conduct annual employee assessments and prepare reports.
* Deliver proactive maintenance services, coordinating preventive and predictive activities.
* Coordinate planned and unplanned shutdowns, external maintenance support services, and maintenance activities with production teams.
* Facilitate external agencies engaged in facility compliance monitoring.
* Identify operational improvement projects to simplify, standardize, or improve operability, maintainability, and compliance.
* Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and document as-built modifications.
* Document system and procedural changes resulting from as-built modifications.
* Deliver services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment, prioritizing environmental objectives and a safe working environment.
* Focus on attention to detail, doing things right first time, and being aware of maintenance activities' impact on operational budgets.
* Continuously seek alternative methods to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND with significant maintenance experience.
* Proven maintenance experience in a complex operational environment (Power Generation, Industrial Process).
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, 2 of which should have incorporated leading small workgroups.
* Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLC's is an advantage.
* Familiarity with High Voltage switching and control concepts is an advantage.
* Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
* Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries.
* Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience is a distinct advantage.
