We are looking to appoint an attendance manager to join our outstanding pastoral team in promoting positive student attendance and punctuality. The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in a school or within an educational setting.
The attendance manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, as they are required to engage and build relationships with parents/guardians and students. They will establish the reasons for absences impacting on the attendance of individual students, improve attendance and ensure that parents/guardians are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities. They will also require an understanding of the laws surrounding attendance and compliance. They will be required to provide data to identify patterns of absence, using the data to help address concerns.
This role is crucial to the success of our students’ education and the ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children and their families, improving school attendance, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students.
The postholder will be required to work for 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, which is term time and the equivalent of two weeks working during the school holidays.
The salary will be paid at KR7, starting at £23,599 p.a. (pro rata to FTE £26,515).
