Senior Water Engineer
* Water industry. Strategic senior role in the water industry (wastewater).
* Strategic role assessing brand new digital IoT solutions in the water industry (around instrumentation, data analytics, modelling, calibration, and software as a service) – we want a water industry engineer/technical specialist who wants to drive new technologies in the water industry.
* Backed by a 5,000 employee multi-national technology business.
* Work from home flexibility 2/3 days per week. Hybrid. Must be able to attend meetings in the Midlands.
* Salary TBC (a newly created role) but we anticipate a £70,000 - £90,000 package approx. guide + excellent pension 9% + 35 days holiday + healthcare package + EV car scheme (still TBC).
This senior water industry job role would suit either a Chartered engineer/Technical Manager who wants to look at novel new technologies in the water industry (i.e., be more strategic and market-focused) or an engineer who wants to make a step up into a more strategic role.
This is a brand new role; over £1m invested already. 5,000 headcount multinational who supply data analytics, instrumentation, and modelling into the environmental sector but are able to bring fresh innovative solutions to the water industry – you will help define the technology roadmap.
This is a senior and strategic role. If you are ambitious and want a strategy-focused job in the water industry, it will provide you with incredible scope, autonomy, and excitement.
Your background:
* Water industry experience (ideally wastewater).
* You will be a person passionate about the water industry but equally passionate about how you can transform the industry with AI/IoT/digital applications of new technologies.
* Strategically focused – the sort of person who has a strong interest or experience in looking at the water market and understanding what solutions will benefit the industry (or an engineer who wants a more strategic role).
* Able to get to the Midlands (near Solihull) one day per week and then in that first 3 to 6 months spend a good amount of time at HQ as you build relationships with the team.
* From a technical perspective – water industry knowledge is the main priority, but we expect a degree/background in engineering/physics/maths/software/environmental studies. The solution is ultimately systems modelling/water network modelling (instrumentation/measurement/data capture/data modelling).
* So an ability to understand digital solutions in this space is important (some sort of understanding of software/modelling/measurement in the water industry or similar) – the solution is “building in analytics to optimise operations in the water sector.”
This Senior Water Engineer job role has lots of hybrid/work from home flexibility. When working in the office, it is commutable from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Solihull, Ashby de la Zouch, Loughborough, Burton on Trent, Market Harborough.
