Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology

We currently have rare opportunity a 2 full time positions & 1 part time position as Senior Staff Nurse, for 10 to 12 month fixed term contracts.
Starlight Ward is our paediatric oncology, haematology and bone marrow transplant ward. We are the principal treatment centre in the South West for haematology and oncology and an international referral centre for bone marrow transplant. We have 17 cubicles and predominately care for 0-12 year olds.

* Have experience within a paediatric haematology oncology and/or bone marrow transplant clinical setting.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
* RGN. 1st Level or relevant children's qualification.
* Current NMC Registration.
* 1st Degree in nursing or health related subject or working towards.
* Qualification in Teaching, assessing and Mentoring.
* Experienced in chemotherapy administration.
Desirable
* Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study.
Public Sector Language Competency
Essential
* Be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
* Appropriate post registration experience in nursing and speciality.
* Appropriate proven leadership and management experience.
* Proven commitment and experience, evidence in teaching.
* Experience as preceptor / mentor.
Desirable
* Experience of undertaking research or audit projects.
* Evidence of commitment to research based practice or evidence of project work undertaken.
