Join us in shaping the future of our students and make a lasting impact with Macclesfield College The Role: We have exciting opportunities to join the team to deliver the Social Science A Level Pathway, comprising of Psychology, Sociology & Criminology. The role will involve the marketing, delivery and assessment of the Social Sciences Pathway A Level. You will also have some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities. Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to the required national standards, a Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics and ITQ or a willingness to work towards the qualifications in a timely manner are essential requirements for this role. Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment. Main Duties for this role include: To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning. To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates. To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications. To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards. To support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
