SERVICE MANAGER
Ford and Slater are one the UKs largest DAF Truck dealers group with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff, whilst remaining a family run business. We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Service Manager at our DAF Trucks dealership in Birtley, Tyne & Wear.
As a Service Manager, we can offer you:
Annual Salary of up to £50,000 (depending on your Service Manager experience)

Who are we looking for as a Service Manager:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of running a busy Commercial Vehicle Workshop / Service Department as a Service Manager however if you looking for career progression as a Workshop Manager or Controller we would like to hear from you.
Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a busy Service Department to achieve the highest levels of customer service, whilst meeting performance targets.
Excellent people management skills and the ability to motivate the Service Team.
A strong technical background in the Commercial Vehicle sector.
IT and communications skills.
Full UK driving licence.
The Service Managers role / responsibilities include (but not limited to) :
As the Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Service Department. To operate the department profitably and efficiently to company and DAF Trucks standards. Ensure the highest levels of customer service satisfaction are maintained at all times. Deal with any staff issues that arise in conjunction with HR, in line with company policy and procedures. Ensure full compliance with company H&S policy.
Working pattern : 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 18:00.
