Why join us?
DWF is currently recruiting for two Legal Cashiers to join the fantastic team on a hybrid basis. Currently, the team works from the Manchester office Tuesday & Thursday.
Responsibilities
As a Legal Cashier, your responsibilities span across several essential tasks. Your primary duties include providing cashiering support and analysis for the firm, specifically focusing on Manchester Cashiering duties. This involves managing cash allocations and handling various types of payments such as BACS, faster payments, CHAPS, and cheques. You will also be preparing and authorising online electronic bank transfers while ensuring all transactions align with the firm's standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, managing payments for the main bank accounts, by posting incoming payments to the correct files is a key responsibility. Handling CHAPS and faster payments, ensuring prompt and accurate posting, including completion monies, also falls under your purview.
Beyond these tasks, you play a crucial role in producing cheques for local and regional offices and managing smaller bank accounts. You will monitor incoming funds and ensure they are posted accurately. Another aspect of your job includes managing bill payments, responsible for client-to-office transfers, and allocating client money to invoices. You must consider all new requested information in line with agreed Service Standards, ISO Procedures, and SAR requirements. Monitoring and recording all financial transactions accurately is crucial, as is managing a busy inbox for general cashier inquiries, ensuring timely and precise responses are delivered to stakeholders.
