Job summary This is an exciting new role developed to provide comprehensive nursing care directly to patients who have benign and malignant primary breast disease. The post holder will provide holistic support, education and specialist advice to patients, carers and other health professionals. The role will include, supporting patients who are recalled from their screening mammogram, wound care and management, electronic Holistic Needs Assessment (eHNA) clinics, and telephone support for patients with primary breast cancer under the guidance of Breast Care Nurses. The post holder would also support patients with breast cancer to make surgical choices as part of their cancer treatment package, and risk reducing surgery for those who have a breast cancer causing genetic variant.
