Job Title: Senior Assistant Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Assistant Operations Manager to join our security company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the shift operations room staff, including CCTV Supervisors, drivers and Tracking and Monitoring Platforms. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for all duty personnel, activities and operations ensuring the efficient deployment of resources, and maintaining high standards of operational performance.
This role is suited to someone with operational experience either ex military or emergency services with a good understanding of an operations room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support and manage the weekly roster ensuring all company personnel are informed and briefed.
· Monitor the lone worker tracking platform to ensure the effective support of company staff and clients.
· Ensure all CCTV and Alarm Monitoring activities are completed as per the clients brief and company procedures.
· Ensure that the Global Tracking and Monitoring platforms are managed and responded to as per the client’s briefs and company procedures.
· Oversee the operations room staff, including CCTV Supervisors and drivers, ensuring that operational procedures and performance standards are highly maintained.
· Oversee the static guarding sites, activity levels including inductions and training.
· Coordinate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement operational strategies to optimise resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.
· Conduct regular assessments of operational performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes to enhance overall effectiveness.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of operational activities and timely resolution of operational issues.
· Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for operations staff to maintain high levels of proficiency and competence.
· Act as a point of contact for operational issues and provide timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth operational continuity.
· Support the company’s current accreditations ensuring the pre-set measures and requirements are adhered to.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar operational role within the security industry (preferably ex forces or emergency service with Operations Room experience).
· Demonstrated ability to effectively monitor and manage operational activities using tracking platforms and operational software.
· Strong leadership and people management skills to oversee and motivate shift operations room staff.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively.
· Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
· Knowledge of security industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications / experience:
Hold a valid in date SIA badge (DS/CP) + CCTV desirable.
Minimum of 7 years industry experience.
Hold a full UK driving license.
Preferably ex-Military / Emergency services
