New Balance are offering a 1 year paid undergraduate placement to an undergraduate student, currently in penultimate year of study, with a desire to follow a career in IT. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about daily operations of the IT department and the wider business, experience hands-on access to enterprise grade IT systems and be involved in hardware and software-based support across a multitude of vendors and equipment. Travel opportunities to visit other sites across region, including manufacturing facility in Flimby, Cumbria to see behind the scenes of its IT operation. Training and support will be provided, and you will gain a broad knowledge of a global business.
This Placement opportunity will start on Monday 16th June 2025 and will be based in the Head Office (Warrington) full time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide 1st line support for IT Service Requests in-person and remotely across EMEA region
* Provide associates with hands-on training for IT systems and resolve ongoing issues
* Escalate Service Request tickets to application and technical teams where required
* Collaborate with NB IT Support teams (L1) to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities in support. Analyse ticket data to suggest tech enhancements.
* Review IT documentation and Standard Operating Procedures required for IT projects and support. Publish user guides for IT systems where necessary
* Assist with associate onboarding to ensure IT requirements (hardware, software and access) are setup by start date. Also schedule and conduct IT induction sessions.
* Collaborate with Procurement lead to maintain/order stock of IT equipment onsite
* Support wider EMEA IT Infrastructure Team with ongoing projects. Participate in an Agile team
* Maintain audio/visual equipment in corporate offices and provide support/training to users
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
* Studying a degree in a relevant subject, for example, Information Technology or similar
* Must be able to provide the right to work in the UK
* Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office 365 Suite
* Interest in IT and new emerging technologies
* Clear and concise communication methods
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Strong organisation & Time Management skills
* Problem-solving ability
* Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team or alone
* Strong attention to detail
* Conscientious
* Pro-active approach
* Team player
