The role
As a Continuous Improvement Waterfront Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Learning from Experience (LfE) is a through life process which enables organised learning by replicating success, avoiding mistakes, and publicising and promoting best practice throughout the submarine enterprise.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage a co-ordinated enterprise-wide end to end LFE approach providing support in capturing, managing, analysing & implementing LFE to improve future maintenance planning and delivery performance.
* Identification of Maintenance Planning Improvements
* Efficient maintenance of the LfE database and accurate inputting of data.
* Accurate updating of LfE item status and actions.
* Production of periodic written LfE reports.
* Efficiently answering employee enquiries, maintaining a high level of customer care in the process.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills when liaising with stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Continuous Improvement Waterfront Specialist
* An engineering background, or significant experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean / Six Sigma Improvement Methodologies)
* Excellent process experience, implementing LFE / maintenance planning improvements.
* Good communication skills & stakeholder management experience.
* Willing to challenge yourself & others to do things differently.
* Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team.
Qualifications for the Continuous Improvement Waterfront Specialist
* HNC/HND in engineering or another relevant specialisation.
* APM Fundamentals or equivalent qualification desirable.
* Lean six sigma qualification / experience desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
