We are seeking a compassionate, resourceful, and experienced Primary SEMH Teacher to join our close-knit team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our incredible students.
We are looking for Primary School Teachers who have experience working with SEMH students. You will be working with Year 7 and 8 students who are working at a primary age. The school caters for a wide range of special educational needs, including the following diagnosed or described conditions:
* Attachment Difficulty
* Autistic Spectrum Disorder, including Asperger’s Syndrome
* Dyspraxia
* Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
* Specific Learning Difficulties, i.e. Dyslexia
* Speech and Language Disorder
* Tourettes Syndrome

What You’ll Do
* Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans that align with students’ Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages communication, social interaction, and emotional growth.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and teaching assistants, to ensure holistic support for each student.
* Use evidence-based teaching strategies, including TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration techniques.
* Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents/carers and external professionals.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent with a strong background in SEN.
* Experience: Proven track record of working with children with autism, preferably in a primary setting.
* Skills: Exceptional communication, adaptability, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
* Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with autism.
* Creativity: The ability to think outside the box and tailor teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
