Duties
* Oversees the operation of the pro shop and snack bar. Assigns lanes to be used, operates control console and POS, issues rental items, takes food orders, and sells items in the pro shop. Tracks labor, food/beverage and inventory costs in the snack bar and labor and inventory in the pro shop, making adjustments necessary to meet budget goals.
* Conducts inventory of equipment/supplies and ensures appropriate stock levels are maintained. Reviews and evaluates sources used for purchase of supplies, equipment and resale merchandise; establishes new or varied sources for improved selection to better meet changing customer demands. Resolves deviations and problems through proper sources.
* Ensures maintenance and preventive maintenance are performed on all bowling related equipment. Receives and resolves customer complaints and requests. May supervise, lead, oversee and/or coordinate the daily activities of other employees engaged in the performance of their duties. May be required to temporarily assume the duties and responsibilities of the Bowling Center Manager and Assistant Bowling Center Manager in the absence of these placeholders.
* Organizes and schedules open and league bowling. Assists in advertising and recruiting participants for leagues, tournaments, special events and open play activities. May be required to schedule and administer these activities in the capacity of league secretary or tournament director. Ensures league and recreational play activities are properly scheduled, facilities are set up, and rules and regulations are observed. Opens and closes the bowling facility as required.
Requirements
* This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
* This position requires the incumbent to be at least 18 years of age.
* This position requires the successful completion of a food handler's certificate within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME)
* Performing bowling center operations, including knowledge of the rules related to bowling and organization of leagues and tournaments; AND
* Operating bowling machinery and equipment and knowledge of bowling lane care; AND
* Receiving, disbursing, and processing cash items, including direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability control methods; AND
* Interacting with customers, management, and co-workers with tact and diplomacy.
* Prior experience in basic supply techniques is desirable.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
