The Rheumatology Pharmacy team have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Band 7 Pharmacist into a non-rotational position. The CUH Rheumatology service continues to grow rapidly and support to this service therefore must expand.
We are looking for an organised, forward thinking and motivated Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly specialised patient cohort and specialist clinicians in rheumatology.
You will play a key role in the provision of specialist services: high cost drugs, medicines optimisation and the management of clinical queries to help us to deliver and improve the quality of patient treatment and care. Maintaining the safe supply of medicines and treatment to patients homes.
Rheumatology Pharmacy experience is not essential as full training will be given.
Our progressive and friendly pharmacy department consists of approximately 300 staff. The department provides clinical services to diverse patient groups across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including many highly specialised services. The majority of our pharmacists are prescribers and we have a number of consultant pharmacist posts.
CUH has been accredited at the highest international quality standard for use of technology, data and analytics (HIMSS Level 7). The Pharmacy team fully utilises our electronic patient record system (Epic) alongside technology such as robotics.

* To provide an advanced a specialist clinical pharmacy service to ward(s)/clinics within specialist area.

Qualifications
Essential
* Masters level degree in pharmacy.
* Post-graduate foundation training (pre-registration year).
* Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Completed Certificate (Year 1) of Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/General Pharmacy Practice.
Desirable
* Completed year 1 and year 2 of Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/General Pharmacy Practice).
* Diploma / MSc in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent).
* Qualified and registered as an Independent prescriber.
* Risk management training.
Experience
Essential
* Moderate post-registration hospital experience including prescription screening in inpatients/outpatients, medicines reconciliation, medicines information.
* Experienced clinical pharmacist who has covered a range of specialties. Medicine including elderly care, acute medicine, and including specialist medicine and Surgery including general surgery and other surgical specialties.
* Documentation in medical notes.
* Writing reports.
* Writing or assisting in writing drug policies and guidelines/PGD development.
* Evidence of having conducted a clinical audit.
Desirable
* Recent post-registration hospital experience, ideally including previous experience in a teaching hospital and experience of more than one hospital.
