About This Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team based in Carlisle. The Learning Disability, Autism and Transition Team works with adults and also with young people from the age of 14 years, who are transitioning into adulthood. As an Enhanced Transition Worker, you will be working specifically with young people to assess their needs and support them as they move from children’s services to adult services.
The successful applicant will be an experienced practitioner who is able to work autonomously and has the necessary skills to develop effective approaches in the management of complex casework and promote strength-based practice.
You will supervise others within the team and in doing so, support their continuing professional development, as well as working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Cumberland Council is a modern and supportive employer, and we have both the technology and the commitment to allow our employees to work flexibly and efficiently. Travel around set geographical locations will be required but this can be balanced with homeworking as needed.
If you are interested in the above post, we would love to hear from you and would encourage you to have an informal discussion with the Team Manager, Carmen Smith on: 07917138623.
