Direct hire full-time position Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits Mid-size company with room for growth Position Title : Applications Lead Position Location : Full Time, onsite in Durham, NC Daily Responsibilities : Provide hosting of application development support of ColdFusion applications. Provide backend support of existing and new applications from other contracts. Required Years of Experience (min) : Minimum of 5 years supervising software configuration management. Required Degree : B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering or Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement established for this key personnel function. ITIL certifications specific to the position are preferred Required Experience : Experience analyzing complex system requirements in bioinformatics and laboratory environments, particularly focusing on open-source applications used for processing scientific data. Expertise in understanding the unique needs of chemistry, biology, and bioinformatics workflows. Experience designing and developing software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation. Specific focus on bioinformatics applications used in lab settings, ensuring the software can process complex data outputs from lab instruments efficiently. Experience managing software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Estimate software development costs and schedule. Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
