An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Learning Support Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be required to assess and coordinate required relevant support for all students with a declared learning difficulty or disability. This will include:
1. Completing initial learning support interviews
2. Producing learning support plans
3. Contributing towards the completion of high needs funding forms
4. Conducting risk assessments
5. Providing consultation responses
6. Conducting annual reviews for students with EHCPs
They will also be responsible for coordinating special educational needs services, such as:
1. Managing the Learning Support Assistant timetable
2. Managing access arrangements
3. Dyslexia support and intervention
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an educational setting and supported young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. They will have knowledge and understanding of The SEND Code of Practice and Education and Health Care Plans. Additionally, they will possess:
1. Excellent communication and organisation skills
2. Compassion and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
3. An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
4. The ability and determination to promote equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of College life
This is a part-time role, working for 14.4 hours per week. The actual salary is £12,265.60-£12,940.80 plus £800 market supplement.
