An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council's Health Business Centre (HBC) as a Community Staff Nurse, working from Allington House, Ipswich. Your role and responsibilities You will: Provide information and health advice via telephone, email and text messaging, to parents and carers and other professionals to support the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families in Suffolk Be a positive role model, team player and have excellent clinical knowledge of children’s health and development Be an excellent communicator and have good organisational and IT skills. You will receive induction into the HBC, management/peer supervision and ongoing development to support you in this new role. You will need To be a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse Relevant experience of working with children, young people and their families Experience of using evidence-based assessment and intervention tools to meet the needs of our clients Good working IT skills to enable you to use a range of software i.e Microsoft packages, SystmOne and MS Teams. The team The Health Business Centre serves as a vital component of the Suffolk 0-19 Healthy Child Service, functioning as the single point of contact for clients, staff, and stakeholders while supporting the delivery of health visiting and school nursing services across Suffolk. Operated by a Clinical Duty Team comprising health visitors, school nurses, and staff nurses, the centre works to ensure families receive seamless, efficient, and timely care in support of the Healthy Child Programme. The team emphasises the importance of collaborative work, maintaining a solution-focused approach, and fostering positive working relationships to deliver optimal service.
