Quantity Surveyor Required Recruiting for an degree qualified Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity in the aviation sector. My client is a leading Civil Infrastructure contractor is seeking either an entry level AQS or Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team delivering a variety of Civil Engineering schemes at Gatwick Airport. Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple contracts and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of complex and innovative projects within one of the UK’s busiest airports. Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor: Main Contract Management: Oversee multiple main contracts with Gatwick Airport and their Delivery Partners. Subcontract Administration: Manage subcontract works packages, ensuring timely and effective administration. Client & Supplier Collaboration: Lead risk reduction and commercial meetings with the Client and suppliers. Project Delivery: Work closely with the Client to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in scope. Financial Forecasting: Ensure accurate cash flow forecasting, project income, and outturn cost management, including monthly CVR reporting. Cost & Value Management: Conduct detailed cost and value forecasting, cost allocation, and reporting. Change Management: Price variations and manage the change control process in line with contract requirements. Innovation & Efficiency: Improve value for money by reducing waste, driving operational efficiencies, and introducing innovations. Claims & Recovery: Assist the team in recovering contract costs while identifying efficiencies, variations, delays, and claims to enhance project profitability. Client Reporting: Deliver monthly reports to the Client with comprehensive variance analysis and ensure positive cash collection. Experience: Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the aviation or civil infrastructure sectors. Strong knowledge of subcontract and main contract management. Expertise in cost control, cash flow forecasting, and reporting. Ability to lead meetings and collaborate effectively with clients and suppliers. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
