Immigration Department:
Our immigration team is one of the largest in the UK, ranked as a top-tier practice by The Legal 500. We handle a broad spectrum of immigration law, including asylum, human rights, nationality, and business immigration. With over 160 specialists, our team has extensive experience in complex cases, including appeals in higher courts, and is renowned for handling sensitive cases involving victims of trafficking, torture, and domestic abuse.
Main Responsibilities:
* Report to the Department Director
* Manage all aspects of immigration work, providing technical guidance
* Supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers
* Contribute to training and development
* Handle cases including detention, trafficking, asylum, entry clearance, and judicial reviews
* Prepare funding applications and legal documents
* Attend conferences and court proceedings
* Support business development and marketing efforts
Key Skills Required:
* Law Society Immigration & Asylum Law Accreditation (desirable)
* Excellent client care and communication skills
* Valid Practising Certificate
* Supervisory experience and ability to meet KPIs
* Proactive approach and team player
* Knowledge of publicly funded immigration work and private cases
* Advocacy experience (advantageous)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management
