Are you a versatile technician with strong skills in both electrical and mechanical systems? We are looking for an Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair advanced PLC-controlled equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and support the operations team in meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electro-mechanical repairs on a PLC-controlled plant, handling equipment, and conveying systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
* Maintain facilities and plant services, including the compressed air system.
* Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance routines to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with the operations team to achieve production targets.
* Partner with equipment suppliers on new installations, modifications, and upgrades.
* Use initiative when detecting faults to decide whether immediate repair is necessary, acting swiftly to ensure minimal impact on operations.
* Ensure all work areas, including transit areas, workshop, and stores, are kept clean and organized.
* Fully participate in training and development, including cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
* Record all maintenance activities, changes, and transactions in the maintenance management system (CMMS).
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: Relevant trades qualification in electrical or mechanical fields.
* Experience: Strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems; multi-skilled approach is essential.
* Skills: Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in a high-volume environment; computer skills are an advantage.
* Attributes: Team player with a proactive approach, able to work independently and take initiative.
