* Hours: 30 hours per week, 10:30 am - 6:30 pm on a rota basis (working days may vary weekly)

With 74 beautifully designed rooms spread across three floors, our home offers a vibrant and supportive community. From music rooms to a beauty salon, our focus is on enhancing quality of life, promoting individuality, and creating a warm, engaging environment.
Your Role as a Kitchen Porter:
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards in our kitchen and dining areas. This is more than just a support role; you'll be an essential part of our team, helping to ensure our residents enjoy excellent meals in a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting Kitchen Operations: Assist with basic food preparation, ensuring ingredients and tools are ready for the chefs.
* Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain cooking equipment such as pots, pans, mixers, and utensils.
* Dishwashing: Manage the cleaning of cutlery, dishes, and cookware either by hand or using dishwashers.
* Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a spotless kitchen by sterilising countertops, ovens, grills, and sinks, ensuring the space is ready for the next day.
* Stock Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as needed.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* Teamwork: Work closely with the kitchen and care staff to meet the needs of our residents.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is highly desirable, though full training will be provided.
* A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* A commitment to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
