JOB MISSION:
As the Key Account Manager - Apparel you will work across both performance and lifestyle Apparel with our Key Accounts across the UK. Due to growth within the business this is a brand new opportunity to have significant impact on the success of New Balance apparel sales. Working with the UK Apparel Sales Manager you will develop and complete the Apparel growth strategy.
Monthly travel across the UK to visit Key Accounts will be required. A Full Driving License is required within this role. We offer hybrid working and a flexibility to working hours to accommodate for a healthy work life balance.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sell Through
* Monitor sell-out and the order book continuously and be competent using excel
* Work closely with sales planning to support product forecasting monthly and seasonally
* Analyse weekly sell through data and communicate to key stakeholders
* Develop action plans to achieve monthly order book conversion and regular occurring trade catch ups with key account
* Inventory management and FTS replenishment
* Work closely with customer services/finance and logistics to lead commercial/operational challenges
Efficiency
* Order reconciliation, price checks and order book phasing
* Work closely with Sales Planning team to analyse sell thru to inform business of potential opportunities/risks
* Work closely with internal credit control department and key account payable team
* Forecast monthly orderbook conversion on a weekly basis
* Work with the Marketing team to develop specific activities with key accounts
Commercials
* Manage the apparel category for selected UK Key Accounts
* Responsible for the sell in process from GTM - Sell in for apparel on selected Key Accounts
* Work with the UK Sales Manager (Apparel) on the broader KA & UK Apparel strategy
* Develop close working relationship with accounts to deliver the strategy & opportunity identified within Apparel Strategy
* Deliver best in class pre line presentations, specific to each KA to ensure that Apparel is presented to the highest standard
* Work closely with Marketing Team to deliver first class marketing plans to support relevant Apparel collections/launches
* Work closely with EMEA product team to ensure the correct product is available 'inline' for the UK Apparel market
* Identify opportunities and product gaps and work closely with Sales/Product team to complete these opportunities
Sell In
* Develop the account Apparel strategies, formalizing plans and collaborating with the UK Sales Manager (Apparel)
* Achieve or exceed all apparel sales targets in line with the overall strategy
* Be creative in fast fashion and the ability to recognise the younger end-consumer
* Ensure up to date and in-depth product knowledge
* Provide achievable plans and forecasts on account performance
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
* Degree or equivalent experience in sports or fashion related subject or equivalent experience
* Strong industry knowledge, ideally with a background in Apparel Sales/Apparel industry
* Experience within a key account selling environment
* Experience in working in a fast-paced environment and agile ways of working
* Experience in selling and negotiating
* Strong communication skills: written, oral and presentation
* Understand local markets' consumers, economic environment and commercial needs
* Sales experience ideally within the sport / Apparel sector
* High affinity to the brand
