We are partnered with a manufacturing organisation in Walsall who are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The Purchasing Manager is a leadership position, responsible for all procurement activity, operation of the purchasing functions and strategy. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in manufacturing.

Job Description
* Responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing strategy and operations
* Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services
* Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
* Establish a system to qualify and evaluate vendors
* Implement agile supply chain practices
* Improve the contract review and planning process
* Manage a team of Buyers and Administrators, improve skills and performance and coach to support growth and development.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
* In depth experience working in a Purchasing Manager role or similar
* Previously worked within the manufacturing industry
* Strong leadership skills
