Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Salary: £12.90 - £14.00 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities Help students with personal care needs, if required Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers Required Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with individuals with special educational needs Good communication and interpersonal skills Education: Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN) Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience and empathy towards students with learning difficulties Preferred Qualifications: Higher-level qualification in Education or SEN Training in safeguarding and first aid Working Conditions: Work in a school environment Potential exposure to challenging behaviour Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
