Contract Length: 6 months
Are you a highly skilled Finance Manager with a passion for driving business success? Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking a dynamic and agile Finance Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
As the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial goals and objectives. You will provide strategic financial analysis, partner with various teams, and deliver valuable insights to drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Business partnering: Collaborate with the supply chain transformation director and team, commercial teams, channels teams, and subsequent finance teams to support the end-to-end cost-saving programme and transformational projects impacting all P&L lines.
- Waste management: Partner with supply chain on analysing and understanding the dynamics between waste spending and sales benefits. Focus on waste reduction and its correlation with availability.
- Range changes: Act as the finance lead for the Express fit for growth programme, partnering with the lead Cat D for Express and the Space range and merch director on the financial implications of range changes.
- Capital governance and control: Manage investment committee papers, post-investment reviews, and ensure effective governance and control over capital investments.
- Adhoc projects: Take on various adhoc projects that support the commercial leadership team in achieving their targets, such as promotions, price index analysis, Express business strategy, and supplier economics.
Key Skills:
1. Accounting qualification essential (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
2. Experience in a Retail Environment
3. Highly evolved analytical skills
4. Expertise in financial modelling
5. Ability to transform complex data into a clear narrative for senior stakeholders
6. Strong business partnering skills, comfortable working with challenging stakeholders
7. Excellent time management and ability to work at pace with tight timelines
8. Independent and proactive approach to meet key deadlines
