About the Position

The City ofStirling’s Finance team is offering an exciting opportunityfor a Rates and Receivables Officer to join our Rates team untilOctober 2025.
As a Rates & Receivables Officer at the City of Stirling,you will be responsible for maintaining the City's Property andRates records, managing various Accounts Receivable functions, andensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer invoicing.You will provide high-quality customer service, assist with ratingqueries, and liaise with debtors to manage debt recoveryprocesses.
Your role will involve developing efficient processes to handlea high volume of transactions, ensuring data integrity, andsupporting the Rates Services Team Leader in implementing theCity's policies. Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel,and excellent communication abilities are essential for success inthis role.

The duties of the Rates & Receivables Officer will includebut are not limited to:
* Maintain the City’s Property and Rates records.
* Maintain Accounts Receivable functions, including wastemanagement, commercial bins, fines, and more.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of all customerinvoicing.
* Provide high-quality customer service and assistance withrating queries.
* Liaise with debtors and manage debt recoveryprocesses.
About You

* Proven track record in debt recovery and understanding oflegal and court recovery procedures.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, includingnegotiation and public presentation.
* Experience with property and rating databases/applications,particularly TechnologyOne.
* Ability to work in a high-volume customer experienceenvironment with attention to detail.
* Self-motivated, with effective time management skills andthe ability to meet deadlines.
* Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Excel andOutlook.

This temporary is a full-time position is a Level 5 InsideWorkforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $77,514to $81,597 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, orhave ability obtain a:
* A copy of Australian driving licence
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3months)
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
* The right to work in Australia
