We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join us as the Head of Marketing and Communications. In this role, you'll be responsible for enhancing the Rainbows brand and reputation as the East Midlands' leading children’s hospice. You’ll oversee the development of our emerging digital marketing strategy and lead the marketing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials across various media channels. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference while showcasing your leadership and marketing expertise Hours: 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday with the occasional evenings/weekends for Rainbows events. About the role To lead on the development and delivery of a proactive and creative marketing and communications strategy that supports the delivery of the organisational strategy. Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to): Building the brand and reputation of Rainbows as the East Midlands’ leading children’s hospice across all the regions we cover. Overseeing the development of Rainbows emerging digital marketing strategy. Increase the profile and reach of the Rainbows brand across key audiences and territories Work closely with Together for Short Lives and Hospice UK to champion the work of the hospice and our communications agenda. Identifying potential PR risks and supporting Senior Leadership Team/Executive Group on crisis management. Acting as a public advocate and spokesperson as required. Work with your team to oversee the website to ensure it is up to date and relevant. Managing the marketing and communications team against agreed objectives. Requirements Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Extensive experience of marketing and promoting an organisation or service to a diversity of audiences and using a variety of media, including digital Experience of digital marketing and campaign management. Experience of managing a team with multiple projects Undertaking all aspects of staff management, e.g. motivation, recruitment, team building, professional development, performance management. Excellent interpersonal skills.
