Payroll Administrator
Based at our state-of-the-art head office and distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd. have been
established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the north of England as supplier and distributor to over 400
SPAR stores.

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Payroll Administrator to join our payroll department. This is a great opportunity
to continue or build a career within Payroll and take on opportunities for development and progression.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
You will receive full training and support while working across a range of activities within the payroll department.
* Full end-to-end payroll process ensuring deadlines are met within company guidelines.
* Managing special situations like maternity or sickness pay
* Setting up new starters on the system
* Processing leavers ensuring all calculations are made
* Dealing with inbound enquires confidently and in a clear and professional manor
* Checking hours
* Processing Loyalty Pay
* Maintaining rates of pay
A Few Things About You
We are looking for a determined individual who wants an opportunity to develop and learn within the finance world.
* Previous experience working within a payroll team would be desirable
* Experience of using Excel
* A high attention to detail and an excellent level of accuracy required
* Good time management skills and able to work autonomously
* Can build relationships with internal staff along with your immediate team
