This permanent role, based in Coventry, involves supporting submarines programmes critical to delivering national defence capabilities. Our client is opening a brand new office to accommodate their growing needs and offers relocation support packages, subject to meeting eligibility criteria. Key Responsibilities: Deliver technical input and engineering solutions in support of build activities, defect resolution, and change management Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities Produce necessary documentation for the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, and design evidence Undertake design reviews and presentations to customers Review relevant supplier documentation and ensure it is captured and recorded appropriately Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer Job Requirements: Essential: A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background Demonstrable experience of working in different engineering lifecycle phases Proven track record of system or equipment design in communications and/or electronics Technical report writing skills and experienced in requirements definition and management Experience of digital data networks Desirable: Have or be working towards relevant Professional Registration (CEng) If you are an experienced Principal Engineer with expertise in Electrical Engineering and Internal Communications, and you are seeking a rewarding opportunity to support critical defence projects, we would love to hear from you.
